    UGV?  DARPA?  SUGV?  MILSPEC? What does it all mean?  Below you will find the definitions to every term  and acronym associated with ground robotics.

    LUGV - Large Unmanned Ground Vehicles - A class of UGVs that is over 2000lbs in weight. These are commonly military vehicles used for combat (BLACK KNIGHT ) or logistics (FCS-MULE).

    MUGV - Medium Unmanned Ground Vehicle - A class of UGVs that is between 300 and 2000lbs.

    SUGV - Small Unmanned Ground Vehicle - A class of UGV s that is under 200lbs in total weight. Usually track or wheel driven and used for IED/EOD (bomb) disposal.  Also know as PACKBOTs.

    UGV - Unmanned Ground Vehicle - A vehicle that is built or modified to operate without a driver. This can be via tele-operation, remote control or autonomous.
